    TERTIARY BUTYLHYDROQINONE(TBHQ)

    TBHQ is one of the best food antioxidants recognized by the world,which has been widely used in edible oil and greasy food industry.It can retard the oxidation of oil and fats,increasing the shelf-time of greasy food.

    TBHQ has 5 times antioxygenic property as BHA and BHT,and can keep its color and flavor under metal ions such as cuprum and iron.In addition, since the melting point of  TBHQ is 298℃,the heat stability of TBHQ is better than BHA and BHT.Because of its excellent property,TBHQ has rapidly replaced traditional antioxidants.

    TBHQ can mix use with BHA and BHT.It will have a better preserving effect with citric acid.

    TBHQ is the preferred antioxidant in salad oil,blend oil and high grade cooking oil,which can also be used in food,pharmaceuticals and fodder.
